Hey y’all. After brooding about the terrible “Kettlebell Workout” video by our favorite celebrity trainer, a friend suggested making a quick little video demonstrating much more acceptable techniques. I did my best to show some “soft style and hard style” swings.
No More Crunches
Anyone who has trained with me can attest to this: We don’t do crunches and we don’t do sit ups. Why? Because they’re stupid, and because of an article written by Mike Boyle, (who is very smart). He just posted an article on his website “strengthcoach.com” regarding the work of Canadian professor of spine biomechanics …Dr. Stuart McGill. He thinks crunches and sit ups are stupid too. However, he is more atriculate about it.
Edwards Milestone
Attached are pics of Edward doing R.F.E.S.S. and Double Cleans. He also reached a huge milestone. He double snatched (2) 35# bells. 32kg total. Why is this noteable? When I first met him about 8 weeks ago, he didn’t believe he could even swing more than 12kg’s. I’m very proud of him.


Burn & Learn
I have been invited to sit on the panel of the “Burn and Learn Fitness Expo” at Jack C. Hays High School in Kyle/ Buda Texas, Saturday, February 20th. All are welcome to attend. I will be holding dicussions on the benefits of kettlebell, battling rope and sand bag exercises, and how they relate to athletic development… and injury prevention.
